A Woman Who Can Sing

Some men dream of diamonds
And castles in the sky
And silver plated Porsches
To bend their neighbors' minds
But I long for a different
And more elusive thing
I dream of a woman
Who can play guitar and can sing

She'll have a voice as sweet as nectar
As gentle as a cloud
Yet intense and passionate
Sometimes strong and loud
She'll touch me with her poetry
And embrace me with her song
We'll revel in our harmonies
Like birds before the dawn

Some men dream of dollars
And fortunes built on lies
I can only speculate
The sorrow in their lives
For one thing that is certain
There are few things joy will bring
So I dream of a woman
Who can play guitar and sing
